When a veteran of a branch of the military has invested their money with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and been deemed incapacitated, the VA may appoint a guardian to handle their assets. The VA may require that the guardian post a bond to guarantee that they will not misuse the veteran’s assets.
Bond Premiums and Bond Amounts:
If bond is for use in Florida there will be a 1.3% tax of the PREMIUM.
Bond amount will be set by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
