What is a Release of Lis Pendens Bond?

A Release of Lis Pendens Bond is recourse for a defendant who wishes to sell property but cannot because the plaintiff has blocked their right to sell. The bond is the defendant’s guarantee that he or she will abide by the court ruling.


Bond Premiums and Bond Amounts:

Defendants bonds require full collateral in the amount of the bond. We only accept
Cashier’s Check or Irrevocable Letter of Credit. Exceptions can be made for large publicly traded
corporations or Insurance companies.


Premium amount is 1% with collateral or 2% without collateral.
Minimum of $250.


If bond is for use in Florida there will be a 1.3% tax of the PREMIUM.
Bond amount will be set by state statute.
